Privacy Policy statement by Wilhelm Layher GmbH & Co KG for users on our website

Introduction
All citizens have the constitutional right to determine themselves how their personal data is used. This right imposes the duty on us to protect all personal data.

Protection measures
We train all those of our employees who come into contact with personal data and require all such employees to abide by the requirements for data secrecy in accordance with section 5 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). We have also taken the technical and organisational measures necessary to protect stored personal data in accordance with section 9 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

Collection and processing of personal data
In accordance with customary practice, our provider stores the following information relating to all visits to our website:
  • Date and time
  • The webpages visited (name of the file)
  • The amount of data transmitted
  • The website from which you visit us
  • IP address

This data is collected only for statistical purposes and to improve our website. We also collect, process and use personal data which is entered in boxes by the user of the website.

Cookies
We use "cookies" (small text files) to expand and improve the content on our website. These cookies are stored on your computer when you visit our home page. You can change your browser settings to prevent cookies being stored on your computer. If you do this, however, you may not be able to make full use of our service.

Using and sharing personal data
We only use personal data in the context of the customer relationship for our own purposes relating to products services and marketing. In the event that third parties are involved in any work processes which would require the temporary sharing of your data for processing exclusively for this purpose, we apply the same high standards and require such third parties to comply with data protection provisions under an agreement for the commissioning and processing of data under section 11 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

Opt out
We would like to use your data to inform you about our products, services and innovations and, where applicable, to ask questions about them. If you object to your data being used for marketing purposes, you can notify us of this informally at any time so that we can block your data accordingly.

Google Analytics
Data is stored in anonymised form for statistical purposes and to improve the user-friendliness of our website. For this purpose the Wilhelm Layher GmbH & Co. KG website uses the Google Analytics tool, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (Google). This service also makes use of cookies. These cookies enable your use of our website to be analysed. The information about the way you use our website created by the cookie is sent to and stored on a Google server in the USA.

If IP anonymisation is activated, the IP address is truncated beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is sent to the USA. This usually takes place before the information is sent, but may in exceptional cases only take place locally. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate the way you use the website, to collate reports on website activities and in order to provide us with other services related to website and internet use. The IP address sent by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data held by Google.

You can prevent the installation of the cookies by activating the relevant security settings of your browser software at any time; however, we point out that in that case you will no longer be able to use all the functions of this website.

However, you can prevent data relating to your use of the website being collected and processed by Google as referred to above. To do this you must download and install the browser plugin from the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
